The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and evaluating projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and effective resource allocation.
- Project Administration: Manage project administration tasks, including drawing revisions, RFI's, product submittals, shop drawing submittals, and site instructions.
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs, including labour, material, and equipment expenses, to ensure they align with project progress and remaining schedule.
- Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with clients, field staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize financial or schedule loss and keep the project on track.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes at all levels of the project.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring they complete work on budget and schedule.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project.
- Education: Completion of a Construction Management diploma or Engineering degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience on commercial or industrial projects.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to learn other software programs as required, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
