Position Overview

Cordeiro Roofing Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in estimating costs for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial assessments.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive estimates for labor and material costs associated with construction projects.
  • Create detailed master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
  • Compile estimates for general expenses and overheads to provide a complete financial picture.
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
  • Generate and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Implement quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate material calculations.
  • Provide guidance on tendering processes and analyze tenders to recommend award decisions.
  • Establish cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenditures.
  • Maintain and adjust contract expenditures as necessary throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop and manage a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to inform estimating processes.
