Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kiddie Hall Childcare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing child-care programs that promote the overall development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Child Assessment: Assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, and work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Communication: Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate information to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Supervision: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and lead activities that promote the development of children.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to support child-care programs.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers, community service providers, and parents to support the development of children.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Child development assistant (ECE level 1) and emergency child care first aid and CPR.
  • Language: English.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Day care centre or nursery school.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity.
