Job Title: Project Engineer - Compression and Refrigeration

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Compression and Refrigeration to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of Gas Compression and Refrigeration packages. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions, conduct thorough analyses to optimize package efficiency, and adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Gas Compression and Refrigeration packages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions
  • Conduct thorough analyses to optimize package efficiency
  • Adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage and assist with all technical and manufacturing issues on multiple projects
  • Provide engineering support to the Service department during equipment commissioning and start-up
  • Mentor and guide junior Engineers and Engineering Technologists
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering designation through (P.Eng) through APEGA is required
  • 5+ years of experience in compression, refrigeration packaging/manufacturing
  • Experience working at a supervisory capacity with Project Engineers/Technologist and designers
  • Knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, VMG)
  • Strong knowledge of requirements from Engineering jurisdictions (ABSA, EGBC, TSASK)
  • Strong knowledge of ASME / ANSI / API Codes, good knowledge of CSA Codes
