About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Orange Bento Sushi. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Lead and motivate a team of food service staff to ensure seamless service delivery
    • Coordinate staff schedules and assignments to meet business needs
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Provide comprehensive training to new staff members on food service procedures and protocols
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Manage Food Service Operations
    • Estimate and manage food and supply inventory to ensure optimal stock levels
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on food service operations and sales
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Language and Cultural Competence
    • Fluency in English
    • Ability to provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
    • Ability to provide cultural competency training and awareness to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
