Job Summary

The Island Health organization is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Saanich Peninsula Primary Care Network. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary healthcare team, you will provide culturally safe primary care to patients at our Primary Care Network Centres/Clinics.

About the Role

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for establishing a minimum patient panel and providing primary care services, including after-hours care as needed. You may participate in an after-hours call group, sharing coverage with other providers at the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to patients at our Primary Care Network Centres/Clinics
  • Establish and maintain a minimum patient panel
  • Participate in an after-hours call group, sharing coverage with other providers
  • Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary healthcare team to deliver culturally safe primary care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia
  • Experience working in a primary care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
