About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Ross and Acker Inc. as a Clinical Expert in Pharmacy Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Clinical Advice: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage of medications.
  • Dispense Medications: Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage Inventory: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Offer Product Recommendations: Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication.
  • Verify Prescriptions: Check prescriptions for proper dosage.
  • Compound Medications: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs.
  • Lead Team: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Security Clearance: Criminal record check.
  • Professional Liability Insurance: Eligible for professional liability insurance.
