Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Ross and Acker Inc. as a key member of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide expert advice to customers on pharmaceutical products, including indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage.
- Dispensing: Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Inventory Management: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Non-Prescription Medication: Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication, promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
- Prescription Review: Check prescriptions for proper dosage, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Compounding: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
- Medication Profiles: Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons, narcotic, and controlled drugs.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Certifications: Hold certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Security and Safety: Undergo a criminal record check and be eligible for professional liability insurance.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability, and teamwork.
