Job Summary

Ross and Acker Inc is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Compounding: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Security and Safety: Eligible for professional liability insurance and undergo regular background checks.
  • Work Environment: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability, and team player.
