Position Overview:

This hybrid role requires a dedicated professional to contribute to the quality assurance processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Analyst will provide strategic guidance on testing methodologies, develop comprehensive test plans, and select appropriate testing tools. This role involves planning and coordinating testing activities for extensive systems across both Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-GUI environments. The analyst will be responsible for executing integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing.

Core Competencies:

  • Proficient in Cloud technologies, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in crafting test plans, scripts, and cases, executing them against various system components.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project leads and team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and implementing testing efforts.
  • Familiarity with structured methodologies for application development and maintenance.
  • Proficient in utilizing data query tools for test case development.
  • Experience with Test Management tools and version control systems.
  • Ability to execute functional and non-functional tests, including systems integration tests.
  • Support user acceptance testing and actively participate in UAT activities.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Experience in creating test data for various testing phases.
  • Knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • A collaborative team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language.
  • Experience with information retrieval packages.
  • Understanding of testing methods in object-oriented environments.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
  • Experience in planning testing efforts for various system sizes.
  • Ability to code automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficient in Cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with AODA compliance audit tools.
  • Knowledge of various database systems and programming platforms.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
