Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Switchboard Operator/Health Records Clerk to join our team at Interior Health Authority. This is a casual opportunity that requires flexibility and a willingness to work varying hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the switchboard and public address system, receiving and directing patients and visitors.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including typing, compiling, and distributing documents, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Process patient registration, including receiving payments and issuing receipts.
  • Manage health records, including pulling and assembling charts, identifying and processing corrections, and reviewing completed charts for accuracy.
  • Maintain supply inventory, ordering stock and non-stock items for acute and residential care.
  • Perform cashier duties, including receiving payments and recording transactions.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • A current Typing Test of 45 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution.
  • One year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A Cover Letter stating your availability.
