Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Gas Bar Manager, the Assistant Gas Bar Manager plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the gas bar. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while at work.
  • Being reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.
  • Managing the ordering, receiving, pricing, and displaying of merchandise as directed by the Gas Bar Manager.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of all point-of-sale operations, including back-office functions.
  • Ensuring the gas bar is kept neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Assisting with marketing initiatives for the location.
  • Supervising and training team members under the guidance of the manager.
  • Enforcing adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service consistently.
  • Offering assistance at the pump island as needed.
  • Conducting daily reconciliations and preparing reports.
  • Executing opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Handling administrative tasks as assigned by the Gas Bar Manager.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • At least three to five years of supervisory experience in a retail environment or equivalent.
  • Completion of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Note: A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
