Who Are We Seeking?

Join Interior Health as a Casual Culinary Services Team Leader.

The ideal candidate should possess a diploma from a recognized two-year Food Service/Nutrition Management program along with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the field.

This position requires flexibility to work rotating day shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.


Casual roles operate on an as-needed basis without guaranteed hours.What Will Your Responsibilities Include?
  • Overseeing designated personnel by organizing and coordinating work schedules, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating training sessions.
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Dietitian to design menus and develop recipes tailored to nutritional requirements.
  • Estimating food needs, placing orders for supplies, and resolving supply-related issues.
  • Engaging with patients/residents and their families to collect diet-related information.
  • Managing budgets, ensuring the quality of meals, and coordinating community services such as meal delivery programs.
  • Supervising cafeteria operations, including pricing, staffing, and closure protocols.
  • Conducting audits to uphold food service and quality standards.
  • Monitoring the storage of food and supplies.
