Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Namaste Bistro Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, preparing and serving food, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Sanitize and wash dishes and other kitchen items by hand
- Portion and wrap food items for service
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to order
- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients
- Take customers' orders and respond to their needs
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Handle and store cleaning products safely
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean environment
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits for preparation
This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team setting. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
Requirements- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience in the food service industry is an asset
