About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Namaste Bistro Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, preparing and serving food, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other kitchen items by hand
  • Portion and wrap food items for service
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to order
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure a smooth service
  • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean environment
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced environment that requires a high level of energy and physical stamina. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, and may be required to lift heavy objects or work in a hot kitchen environment.
