About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Bridgeview Hall in Miramichi, New Brunswick. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of meals meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow production sheets to guide food preparation and assist with cost control.
  • Familiarize yourself with the specific needs of each client, including diet restrictions and allergies.
  • Assist with the process for checking and receiving of deliveries and inventory control.
  • Participate in the client and employee incident reporting and investigation process as required.
  • Report areas and equipment in need of repair to the maintenance department.
  • Ensure kitchen appearance meets established standards for cleanliness and organization.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has a strong commitment to quality and safety. You will have:

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Food Handlers Certification (preferred)
  • Availability to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for serving seniors
  • Some experience in the culinary field and familiarity with preparing plates for clients
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset
