Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and execution of product mix analysis as part of product line evaluations or other special initiatives.
  • Prepare communications related to timelines and product specifications, coordinate the shipping and receiving of samples, and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Oversee the sample development process in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with global procurement offices and import suppliers to clarify issues, resolve challenges, and ensure timely completion of tasks through effective documentation and communication.
  • Update project status and conduct follow-ups with all internal and external stakeholders to guarantee timely project delivery.
  • Engage with suppliers to gather necessary documentation and confirm that the information aligns with negotiations.
  • Analyze and manage price fluctuations of items due to changes in import-related costs (e.g., container pricing, exchange rates, supplier pricing) and provide recommendations to the merchandising team.
  • Generate reports and extract data primarily using Excel and Access.
  • Create data analysis files (Excel) to organize information and facilitate cost analysis of negotiations.
  • Offer recommendations to suppliers for optimizing overall product costs.
  • Ensure accurate classification of all products by liaising with the customs broker (cost calculation).
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders (procurement, logistics, quality, finance, after-sales service, etc.) regarding all matters requiring escalation with suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in business administration, specializing in logistical supply chain, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics management or merchandising within a major retail environment.
  • Familiarity with merchandising and/or logistics processes in a retail context.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas, macros, etc.).
  • Capability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Initiative along with excellent time management and organizational skills.
