Position Summary

The role focuses on overseeing grower contracts, ensuring payment accuracy, and maintaining inventory integrity. Key tasks include reconciling daily transactions, generating financial reports, and safeguarding the reliability of accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Oversight:
    • Draft and finalize grower contracts.
    • Maintain accurate cost structures within the accounting framework to facilitate timely payments.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Calculate and process monthly payments and advances for growers.
    • Reconcile daily transactions to ensure precise grower payments and inventory tracking.
    • Prepare and distribute financial statements to growers.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliations of payable accounts.
  • Inventory and Quality Control:
    • Analyze grade data to ensure correct grower payments and quality data accuracy for scheduling.
    • Oversee inventory accuracy and manage contract balances within the accounting system.
    • Establish contracts in the accounting system, ensuring traceability and recall data from field to processing.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis:
    • Generate weekly reports for the Raw Department.
    • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to manage and update multiple spreadsheets.
  • Vendor and Grower Engagement:
    • Address inquiries from growers regarding contracts and payments.
    • Collaborate with vendors to ensure prompt payment through requisition creation and invoice submission.
Typical Education
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience in managing complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing relationships with growers and vendors, and effectively liaising with members of the Raw Department and Plant Accounting.
