Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at TOP TO BOTTOM CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The successful candidate will have experience in building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
  • Ability to work in construction, various locations, renovation, commercial, industrial, and residential settings
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines. The successful candidate must be physically demanding and able to work in a team environment.
