Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Class 3, Sideloader Refuse vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring timely completion of assigned routes and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class 3, Sideloader Refuse vehicle on assigned routes to collect and transport garbage and recycling
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to receive delivery instructions and report any issues or concerns
  • Load and unload heavy materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver's license with clear driver abstract
  • Class 3 driver's license, with air brake endorsement in good standing
  • Ability to follow a firm work schedule and work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 20-75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Previous waste and recycling experience is an asset
