Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Alberta Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine Method of Shipment: Research and select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method for our products.
  • Schedule Distribution: Coordinate with our suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Maintain Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and customer information.
  • Pack and Unpack Goods: Safely pack and unpack goods to be shipped, ensuring they are properly labeled and secured.
  • Affix Shipping Information: Clearly affix shipping instructions and identifying information on shipments.
  • Process Payments: Process payments for goods received and ensure accurate accounting records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and organized.
