About the Role:
The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled Mines Inspector to join our team. As a Mines Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and responsible development of Saskatchewan's mineral resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of mines and mining operations to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to mine operators to improve safety and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with other government agencies and industry stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as geology, mining engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a regulatory or inspection capacity.
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
