Quality Control Inspector
JNE Welding has been providing quality custom steel fabrications for resource-based industries for more
than 40 years. We are located in beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and proudly serve the mining,
environmental, construction, oil sand and power generating sectors. We provide a challenging and

team as a Quality Control Inspector.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Inspection and Testing**: Conduct visual and functional inspections on raw materials,
components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
**2. Documentation**: Accurately document inspection results, non-conformities, and any corrective
actions taken. Maintain detailed records and reports for future reference.
**3. Collaboration**: Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns, provide
feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
**4. Compliance**: Stay current with industry quality standards, regulations and best practices. Ensure
all products comply with relevant quality and safety standards.
**5. Root Cause Analysis**: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues and work
collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective and preventative
actions.
**6. Calibration**: Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accurate measurements
and reliable results.
**7. Training**: Provide training to production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures and
best practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a Welding manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and standards and capability of dimensional
checking.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with measurement tools and testing equipment

- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Certification in Quality Control or related fields is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, team-oriented approach to work.
- Effective communication and writing skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to
support both internal and external customers.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and lift 50 lbs at one time.
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
- Must be adaptable to the changing needs of the department.
**Education and Experience**:
- 3 to 5 years of work experience with quality assurance systems, regulations, guidelines, and
standards would be considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection methods, tools, and equipment.
- Previous experience with reading and understanding blueprints.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Engineering or Science would be considered an asset.
- Shop or field related work experience in the construction and metal fabrication sector would be
considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, API, and CSA codes and standards would be considered an asset.
- Certifications or courses in any, or all the following would be considered an asset: Lean, CWB
Weld Inspection, and Non-Destructive Examination Techniques.
