Role Summary:
The Branch Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing daily customer interactions, overseeing lubricant and wet stock inventory, and facilitating inside sales. This position is vital for supporting branch administrative tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the office team with customer service duties, including inbound and outbound call management, front counter assistance, order processing, and payment handling.
- Conduct follow-ups on inside sales, maintain customer accounts, and provide project support.
- Manage lubricant warehouse inventory, ensuring proper maintenance and sales operations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end inventory preparations and reporting.
- Conduct health, safety, and environmental compliance inspections, addressing maintenance and reporting action items.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Experience or aptitude in mechanical tasks, particularly in the petroleum and propane sectors, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment with a customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse roles and business needs.
- Availability for occasional weekend shifts.
- Possess a clean driving record.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Understanding of safe work practices and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of WHMIS and TDG is an asset.
