We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical services, consultation, and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide consultation and education on mental health issues, including trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Lead and participate in program development, quality improvement, and evaluation initiatives to enhance mental health services.
- Supervise and mentor junior psychologists, interns, and other mental health professionals to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum 5 years of mental health experience, with at least 2 years of recognized clinical experience in concurrent disorders.
- Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment, with experience in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in providing mental health care in an outpatient/community setting.
- Certification in a trauma protocol, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
