We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jerome Facility Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Facilities Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contractor Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Appliance Repair: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff.
- Client Services: Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants and provide excellent customer service.
- Team Leadership: Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision.
- Dependability: Demonstrate a high level of dependability and reliability in your work.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff.
- Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and priorities.
- Initiative: Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Organization: Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work to meet the needs of our clients.
- Language: Possess excellent English language skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
- Relocation: Be willing to relocate for this position to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Proximity: Currently reside in proximity to the advertised location to ensure timely response to client needs.
- Experience: Have previous experience in this field of employment to ensure a high level of competence and expertise.
