Respiratory Care Specialist

Under the supervision of the department manager, the chosen candidate will be accountable for both clinical and technical responsibilities in the field of respiratory care, focusing on the assessment, treatment, and ongoing evaluation of patients experiencing respiratory conditions. The role may involve rotation across various departments as required. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A current and valid practice license (active member) from The Association of Respiratory Therapists of New Brunswick is mandatory;
- Certification in immediate resuscitation techniques and maintenance of this certification;
- Completion of training regarding chronic obstructive pulmonary disease within the designated timeframe;
- Proven skills in formulating treatment and therapy strategies in partnership with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage assigned tasks effectively;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with healthcare colleagues;
- Capacity to adapt to a dynamic work environment;
- Ability to collaborate within a team setting as well as work independently;
- Physical capability to execute assigned duties;
- A solid record of previous employment (performance and attendance);
- Commitment to professional ethical standards, organizational values, and management philosophies;
- Compliance with the confidentiality policies of Vitalité Health Network.
