Job Summary

Under the supervision of a manager, the selected individual is responsible for the clinical and technical aspects of respiratory therapy related to diagnoses, treatments, and patient monitoring for respiratory problems. They may be assigned to various sectors related to respiratory therapy as needed. They also perform other related tasks that may be part of this position.

Responsibilities
  • Valid license to practice (active member) from the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapists;
  • Certificate in immediate care in resuscitation and maintenance of certification;
  • Completion of training on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease within the specified timeframe;
  • Recognized skills for developing treatment and therapy plans in collaboration with patients, their loved ones, and interdisciplinary teams;
  • Recognized skills for organizing and managing assigned workload;
  • Recognized skills for communication and interpersonal relationships with healthcare staff;
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing work environment;
  • Ability to work in a team and independently;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks;
  • Good work history (productivity and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics, Vitality Health Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Respect for Vitality Health Network's confidentiality rules.
