Senior Civil and Structural Designer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Civil and Structural Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing 2D and 3D engineering drawings, including plans, sections, and elevations, for heavy industrial buildings. The candidate will work collaboratively with engineers to take designs from concept to final product.
Responsibilities- Produce 2D and 3D engineering drawings for heavy industrial buildings
- Work collaboratively with engineers to take designs from concept to final product
- Coordinate with different disciplines (mechanical, electrical) to produce complex structural drawings
- Follow G-mining design guidelines and procedures
- Check 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability with other disciplines
- Adapt to different client standards and design software
- Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures
- Hold a technical degree in technology or equivalent training, with specialization in concrete, steel, and architectural design
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in concrete and steel design
- Experience in preparing and drafting designs for structural steel and detailing
- Experience in designing reinforced concrete, masonry and/or wood structures is an asset
- Have experience in drafting and design within a consulting engineering environment
- Have advanced knowledge of drafting software (mastering Revit is an asset)
- Be able to communicate in French and/or English, both speaking and writing
- Knowledge of Navisworks is an asset
