DevOps Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement industry-standard CI/CD pipelines that automate common operational tasks.
- Develop and maintain applications to monitor service health, perform log analysis, and automate recovery processes.
- Apply software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate away manual processes and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with the development team technical director to understand team requirements, evaluate options, develop roadmaps, and ensure needs are addressed in a complex, multi-partner environment.
- Provide critical support during deployment and maintenance of our game titles.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems configurations and procedures, including runbooks for DevOps tasks.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies that improve team efficiency and platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with a global team to implement technologies and support integration.
- Analyze incidents in a postmortem process to ensure preventative measures are implemented.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Experience using Perforce or Git-based workflows for code management.
- Experience with Python, C#, or other scripting languages.
- Understanding of software configuration management and release management.
- Proficiency in the use and administration of CI/CD frameworks, Jenkins or others.
- Experience setting up and deploying a CI/CD environment in a large-scale environment.
- Experience working with ticketing systems such as JIRA.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for internal and external use.
- Passion for automation and workflow efficiency.
