Warehouse Operations Specialist

Job Summary
EMCO Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders, receiving and storing inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including picking, packing, and shipping materials
- Receive and store inventory, including counting and verifying shipments, and identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damaged materials
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and telehandlers, to move materials around the warehouse
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, including cleaning and organizing the warehouse and yard, and identifying and reporting any safety hazards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
- Perform other tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the warehouse
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience; construction experience an asset
- Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
- Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
- Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
- Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
- Intermediate math skills
- Provide drivers abstract
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
- Experience using inventory management software, Word, Excel, and Outlook
