Your Responsibilities
As a Water Damage Technician, you will:
- Maintain clear communication with the Production Manager, providing updates and photographic evidence of work progress.
- Assess the category of water damage.
- Utilize truck-mounted and portable pumps for water extraction.
- Assist in identifying non-restorable building materials.
- Help with the removal of non-restorable components.
- Set up drying equipment according to established protocols.
- Monitor the drying process and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Water Restoration Technician Certification (preferred).
- A clean criminal background check.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating panel vans and cube trucks.
- The ability to lift industrial fans weighing 30-40 lbs.
- Experience loading and unloading wheeled industrial dehumidifiers.
- Knowledge of construction and basic building materials.
- Proficiency in using power and hand tools safely.
- Experience in custodial services, pressure washing, or carpet cleaning (considered an asset).
- Effective communication skills in English.
- The ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Empathy towards clients experiencing property loss.
