Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Summit Trailer Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with commercial transport truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work orders and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transport vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
