Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Summit Trailer Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport vehicles, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and review work orders to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, and perform scheduled maintenance service to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Training and Development: Coach and instruct apprentices in the maintenance and repair of commercial transport vehicles.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in commercial transport vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
