We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at J.L. Richards & Associates Limited. As a key member of our Structural group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for industrial and mining market projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept to completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies, including scoping-level studies, preliminary engineering, and costing.
- Design and develop structural solutions for various assets on mine and industrial sites, including headframes, conveyor galleries, equipment access/foundations, and underground and surface structures.
- Participate in the development of competitive proposals to secure new assignments.
- Assist with workload management to ensure project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers and technologists.
- Develop into a Discipline Lead on multidisciplinary projects, taking leadership of the structural design team, driving the overall structural design, coordinating across all intersecting disciplines, and taking responsibility for the budget and schedule of the structural deliverables.
- Assist senior staff with business development initiatives, including managing and building client relationships, as directed by the Mining Market Chief and under the guidance of other senior staff.
