About the Opportunity

The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs complex analytical tests and procedures in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, utilizing advanced methodologies and quality assurance techniques. This role requires technical expertise and problem-solving skills to perform all tests, both manual and automated, in clinical and environmental laboratories. The Medical Laboratory Technologist operates sophisticated instruments, often computer-integrated and networked, and utilizes computerized information systems to compare test results to established criteria and make decisions regarding reportability.

About You

We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist with the following qualifications:

  • Graduate from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technologist
  • Licensed with NSCMLT or eligible
  • Registration with CSMLS
  • Ability to work shiftwork, including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset
