Electrophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting various electroneurophysiological tests, including EEG tests and recordings for Carotid Endarterectomy.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and record EEG tests on patients by operating digital equipment, adjusting equipment during test processes, and taking measurements from test data.
- Formulate technical preliminary reports by analyzing recordings, describing abnormal manifestations, and forwarding impressions to Neurologists for diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for testing by reviewing case history, assessing the nature of the problems, and determining test approach.
- Obtain patient history, explain procedures, attach electrodes, and monitor patient comfort to ensure accurate results.
- Set up and monitor Carotid Endarterectomy during OR procedures and advise Surgeons of any changes.
- Maintain equipment, report problems to Biomed, and ensure accurate records.
- Provide input into capital equipment acquisitions and budget information.
- Graduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology plus one year's recent, related experience.
- Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CBRET) and/or the Board of Registered Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC).
- Ability to communicate effectively, work effectively with others, operate related equipment, organize work, and carry out physical duties.
