Become a vital part of Les Petits Frères, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of isolated seniors. Our team is composed of passionate staff and volunteers who are committed to our mission of fostering connections and providing support to elderly individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of diverse activities and events tailored for seniors, collaborating closely with team members.
- Provide logistical assistance for the organization of events and outings.
- Engage in the facilitation of activities aimed at promoting social interaction.
- Conduct visits to seniors in their homes and healthcare facilities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the circumstances, health status, or challenges faced by the elderly.
- Perform follow-up communications with seniors and volunteers.
- Help coordinate occasional outings for elderly individuals.
- Maintain accurate documentation in participant files.
Qualifications:
- Completed or in-progress post-secondary education in fields such as special education, social work, leisure studies, psychoeducation, psychology, or related disciplines.
- A genuine passion for supporting senior citizens.
- Familiarity with the nonprofit sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport.
- Exemplary diplomacy and active listening abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of autonomy.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
Employment Conditions:
- Temporary position for a duration of 8 weeks.
- 35-hour workweek.
- Hourly wage of $19.
- Flexible scheduling with a hybrid work model (combination of in-person and remote work).
