Assistant Grocery Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Grocery Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales, managing store operations, and leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts.
- Proactively analyze and utilize sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures.
- Create operational plans, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide clear direction to managers and associates.
- Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within Company policies and guidelines.
- Implement new store programs according to Company direction, evaluate effectiveness, and achieve successful results.
- Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls, maintain quality assurance standards, and oversee safety and operational reviews.
- Serve customers as an ambassador for the store by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines.
- Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in and supporting community events and developing relationships with key community groups.
- Lead associates by conducting regular store meetings, communicating operational direction and initiatives, and driving engagement, recognition, and rewards.
- Demonstrate Company values by holding associates accountable through timely, honest, specific, and respectful performance feedback and corrective and disciplinary action.
- Age - 16 or older.
- Minimum skills and qualifications as per the job description.
