Job Title: Procurement Specialist

At UBC, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing procurement services to various faculties and administrative units across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services in accordance with UBC's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage procurement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve procurement-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Two-year diploma in Purchasing Management or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of procurement software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
