Overview:
The Director of Care is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care services to residents in a long-term care facility. As a passionate leader, you will have the opportunity to strategically guide and support a team of talented healthcare professionals who provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff, ensuring that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to resolve problems and concerns.
- Conduct regular quality assurance reviews to ensure that care services meet established standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for care services, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve care services.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Care in a long-term care facility
- Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing is desirable
- Knowledge of the nursing process and ability to apply it in a leadership role
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications
Salary/Rate Range: $100,000 - $105,000
