Position Overview
As an Administrative Support Specialist for a City Councillor in Ward 7, you will be integral to the effective functioning of the Council Office. Your role encompasses managing communications, aiding in event coordination, and ensuring efficient office operations. This position comes with a variety of benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plan options.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative functions within the Councillor's office.
- Handle incoming communications and requests.
- Assist in composing official correspondence for the Councillor.
- Maintain and update databases, performing necessary data entry tasks.
- Facilitate the planning and execution of events.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of post-secondary education with relevant administrative experience.
- Prior experience in a role supporting elected officials is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with office protocols.
- Excellent organizational abilities and strong communication skills.
Compensation: $43.18 per hour
Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Civic Centre
