Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and families, and participate in continued education and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients and families, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model
- Develop and maintain a nursing care plan, utilizing problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development, including education and training programs
Requirements
- Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse (temporary or general class), in good standing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model
- Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care plan
- Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability and willingness to work in different environments
- Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs
Working Conditions
This is a temporary 12-week position, with rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
