Sales Category Analyst Position

Spinrite, a leading company in the craft yarn and sewing thread industry in North America, is seeking a Sales Category Analyst to join its dynamic Sales team. This individual will work closely with the Senior Sales Analyst to analyze data and provide valuable insights to drive growth and optimize sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecast models based on shipment history, point-of-sale trends, and demand patterns.
  • Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management, ensuring timely and informed decision-making.
  • Analyze customer and marketplace point-of-sale data to identify growth opportunities and optimize sales strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations to optimize stock, minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Provide data-driven insights for business reviews and promotions, supporting the development of effective sales strategies.
  • Report on sales forecasts, budgets, and strategies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Analyze point-of-sale data and retailer inventory levels to inform sales and inventory decisions.
  • Address any shipment issues and identify trends in sales data, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Attend meetings with Forecast Manager and Account Managers to discuss sales performance and strategies.
  • Perform other necessary duties to support the Sales team's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for data and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Previous experience in Sales Analytics or Demand Planning is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Walmart Retail Link/Luminate is a plus.
  • Degree or diploma in business or a relevant field, with a strong foundation in data analysis and business principles.
