Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist

**Job Summary**
As a Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist at FirstService Residential, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties to ensure a high level of satisfaction for our clients and guests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways, as well as clean and polish surfaces.
- Remove and dispose of rubbish and waste materials, using powered equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
- Dust and clean surfaces, including blinds, furniture, and fixtures.
- Polish metal and chrome surfaces using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
- Perform tasks requiring the use of ladders, dollies, and other equipment.
- Assist in the moving of garbage bins and perform related tasks as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
- Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Ability to follow instructions and operate janitorial tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of building and property security procedures.
**Physical Requirements:**
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods, as well as working in environments with unpleasant odors and hazardous materials.
