About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex equipment issues
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in a heavy equipment or diesel environment
  • Valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) certification an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
