Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Education Worker to contribute to the growth and development of young children in a nurturing environment. This role is essential in fostering a supportive atmosphere that promotes learning and creativity.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The position is based in a child care center, where you will engage with children and collaborate with fellow educators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute educational programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Facilitate activities by storytelling, singing, and organizing excursions to local attractions.
  • Encourage artistic expression through various mediums including art, music, and physical play.
  • Support children in developing healthy habits related to nutrition, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Build and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
Required Certifications
  • Possession of an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check.
  • Up-to-date immunization records.
Transportation

Access to public transportation is available for commuting.

Work Conditions
