Position Summary

We are currently in search of a Territory Sales Representative for the Newfoundland region, reporting directly to the Industrial Sales Manager. This role involves significant travel within the Avalon area, with occasional cross-island trips required throughout the year. The primary focus will be on fostering relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits to targeted clients while expanding the customer base, with potential travel beyond the designated territory.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers.
  • Enhance sales performance by optimizing product offerings.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding products and services.
  • Participate in trade shows and sales meetings as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive information packages and supporting materials.
  • Generate expense reports accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for customer interactions, prospects, and service proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Keep customers informed about product updates and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in Marketing or a related discipline is preferred, along with relevant experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar sales role.
  • Background in wholesale distribution to industrial manufacturers, particularly in the secondary wood processing sector, including residential and commercial casework, hospitality furniture, wood windows, kitchen cabinetry, and architectural woodwork.
  • Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possessing effective presentation skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, resourceful, and diligent.

Compensation

The compensation package includes a competitive base salary plus commission, a car allowance, a comprehensive group insurance program, and an Employee Share Purchase Plan.
