About the Role:
The BC SPCA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional medical care to our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to clients and their pets, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, communicate with clients, and provide education on pet health and animal welfare.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care and exceptional client service.
- Advocate for animal welfare and quality of life, building strong relationships with clients and other BC SPCA departments.
- Contribute to business development and participate in training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice medicine and in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC).
- Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in quality veterinary medicine, client service, and product promotion.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work safely with and around animals.
- Commitment to BC SPCA's vision, mission, and strategic directions.
