About the Position:

The BC SPCA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective medical care to clients and their pets, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery.
  • Advocate for animal welfare and provide education to clients on pet health and animal welfare.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
  • Participate in business development and contribute to the growth and success of the BC SPCA.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice medicine and in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC).
  • Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in quality veterinary medicine, client service, and business development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work safely with and around animals, embracing low-stress handling techniques.
